cole turned 18 months on sunday. I cannot believe that my little man is just that. a little man! here are some of the fun things that he does and is into:
- he is starting to talk a lot more. he says mama, dada, milk, more, dog, hi, hey, hot, book, bible, baby, bye-bye, help, nana (for both banana and my mom who is called nana)
- he is signing the words more, milk, all done, please, help
- he waves bye bye and blows kisses
- he has learned how to use zippers
- he loves to bark like a dog and bark whenever he sees a dog, we say the word dog, or sees a picture of a dog
- he can point to a lot of pictures when we ask him, like banana, phone, baby, computer keys and such
- he runs everywhere! walking is overrated.
- he is climbing onto everything! his favorite place to climb to at the moment is the dining room table
- he is wearing 12-18 month clothes although a lot of this pants are still huge on him.
- he just started wearing size 5 shoes
- he has 4 teeth. yes folks, we are still at 4.
- his favorite foods are blueberries and oranges and of course puffs
- he still loves anything with buttons, especially phones and remotes.
- he eats with a spoon and fork
- he is becoming increasingly independent and does not want us to help him with things (like holding a cup for him to take a sip out of)
- with that independence he is showing more frustration when he does not get what he wants and he has started stomping his feet when he gets mad
- he is obsessed with playing with the water hose in the driveway.
- he loves to dance!
- he can point to the letter "c"
- he loves to tickle armpits
- he has learned what keys do and tries to stick keys into the doorknob at every chance. he even knows the difference between the car and house keys!
- he can do "sic em bears" except he doesn't know how to say the words yet, he just makes sounds
- he loves to go down slides, color with crayons, and do puzzles
- he loves stacking blocks and of course knocking them over
- he can point to his feet, eyes, hair, ears, mouth, nose and muscles
he is so fun! and i must say that i am the luckiest mom out there. he is such a sweet kid who loves people and other kids. he is always going up to other kids at church, restaurants, playground, store, etc to talk to them or play with them. it also amazes me that in 18 months he has had one sickness (virus with a fever) and a few colds. that is it! crazy!
i am blessed beyond words to have been able to be a parent to this little munchkin for a year and a half.
