we have been trying to stay extra busy while brenner has been gone, filling our days with fun activities and outings, especially this last week.
i am in survival mode now.

last night cole ate yogurt and chocolate milk for dinner.
(granted, it was the kind of chocolate milk with vitamins and vegetables in it, but it was chocolate milk none the less.)
we have gone to the mayborn museum every week.
the girls' favorite thing to do there is run away from me.
oh so fun.

we made homemade baby-safe paint out of flour, salt and water. cole loved it! the girls liked it too but were not fans of super sticky hands and feet (yes, they walked through the paint several times.)
cole and i went on a date to get the oil changed and car washed.
man, is this kid obsessed with cars. every mechanic we drive past he wants to know what is being fixed on the cars inside and if their tires have gone flat.
we played with the girls' best friend, londyn!
we made valentines!
we have eaten our fair share of frozen yogurt.
we spent one afternoon at homestead heritage where we stocked up on our favorite pancakes and spent time looking at all the chickens, sheep and the huge turkey that was running loose. cole was especially fascinated when one of the chicken laid an egg in front of us and wanted to know why eggs fall out of chicken bottoms and not our bottoms.
that was a fun conversation.
and we have gone to several parks. cole loves to walk along the river, watch the ducks, and chase the squirrels. it took us like 30 minutes to walk down to the playground since these little bits like to stop every 5 feet and sit down to look at leaves and sticks.
and the girls are finally at the age where they like parks too....especially the mulch.
