routine.

we have entered a new phase. we are in a routine. a routine that involves sleep, play and some relaxation for all. holla! a lot of people ask me what our days look like and what our daily routine is with the girls. so I thought I would tell ya.

6-6:30 the girls wake up to eat, i feed them and then they go back to bed
6:30-7:30 brenner goes to the gym to work out with a friend and I get up, eat a little something and cole is usually up at some point in here so i start his breakfast
7:45 i go out for my run
8:30 i am home, we finish breakfast together and have our family bible time before brenner goes to work
9:15-9:30 i feed the girls
10:00 our mornings vary depending on what we have going on. if I have to go to the grocery store that day, then this is when we go.  same with playdates.  if we don't have anywhere that we have to be, then we just hang out and play. i try to do at least one craft or painting or play doh each day. i will also do some house work during this time. the girls usually take a short nap of about 30-45 minutes during this time too.
12:00 we eat lunch
12:30 cole goes down for a nap and then i feed the feed the girls
1:00-1:15 the girls go down for their big nap of the day. this is our biggest change in the last couple weeks, i have been determined to have all the children sleeping at once and I think we are finally there!!! i will clean a little, shower, prep for dinner and then usually watch tv and blog during this time. sometimes i take a little snooze too!
3:00-3:30 the kids wake up and i feed the girls and give cole a little snack
4:00 this is when we run errands usually. i can only fit a couple in each day but that is fine by us. we get out of the house, get things done, and often make a detour to sonic!
5:00-5:30 get home and fix dinner. if brenner is done he takes cole outside to play while i fix the grub.  the girls take another little nap sometime during this time before dinner.
6:00 eat dinner
6:30-7:00 feed the girls
7:00 sometimes we go for a family walk or go out for frozen yogurt but usually we just hang out and play
7:45 cole gets a bath
8:00 peace descends on the house when cole goes to bed! we clean up the house and then brenner and I each grab a baby and usually watch a little tv.  they sleep a little, we relax. i try to walk the dogs a couple nights a week during this time too.
10:00 feed the girls
10:30 bed!! the girls don't usually fall asleep right away, but they are usually out by 11:00

**the girls do wake up during the night still, so it is not always a sound 7-8 hours, but they are doing better and they usually only need a pacifier put back in.

so that is basically how our days go. I am sure it will change soon, as you are constantly adjusting schedules with little babies but we are thriving on a schedule now. while not all the days go perfectly, this works well for us most of the time. i thrive on routine and so do my kiddos!
