apologies.

I am so sorry for not blogging for so long.  and i think it will be another couple of weeks before i am back up to it.  brenner has been gone for 2 1/2 weeks already for air force duty and we are leaving tomorrow to go on vacation with my parents (i have already been with them for a few days).  i don't think i will have internet service in the adirondack mountains of new york.

these past couple weeks have tiring but good with just me and the little guy.  we were ready for grandparent reinforcements though!

here is one thing that we have been doing a lot of since brenner left.

cole is obsessed with coloring (which he calls durdle, very similar to how he says turtle but he points his finger and waves it back and forth imitating coloring)

this little dude loves it.  and yes, we are coloring in the entryway.  heaven forbid we miss pointing out a single truck that goes by the house.

i will be back soon!

brother's new girl.

well, the brother finally got himself a lady.
leslie.
they met through a mutal friend and have been official for about a month.

we looking forward to meeting her soon so that we can tell her embarrassing stories about chris and fill her mind with heinous lies.
 just kidding.
  i think they are adorable.

the 4th.

we had a great 4th! we had the traditional neighborhood parade, then a barbeque at the overlook (brenner's development) and then had another barbeque with our homegroup.  it was a hot, hot, day and by the end of it, we were exhausted.  we were all passed out before the fireworks began!
our family picture of the day turned out pretty well.  there was one breeze that day and it blew the moment the picture was taken, blowing my dress up.  and cole is making a kinda funny face.
he has not caught on to the whole"cheese" thing yet.
this picture was taken at our homegroup get together.  half of the kids never left the sandbox!
what a great day to celebrate our freedom and the courageous troops that have given that to us!

hanging out with chewy.

cole LOVES the dogs.
he tries to ride them every chance that he gets.
chewy was the lucky victim today.

bless these puppies for all they endure.
