brother comes to town.

so the brother came to town for labor day weekend.  yeah!  we don't get to see him much these says since he is consumed with law school in florida so it was nice to get him back to texas
(which is the ultimate goal).
on friday night we wanted to try a new restaurant and we picked one of the mexican restaurants that we knew existed but had never tried.  the place that we tried (but whose name i have forgotten) was great.  the dish that ordered was amazing.   this picture does not do it justice.  but let's just say it fed me on Friday (with a little picking from brenner too) and allowed enough leftovers to make three amazing mexican omelets the next morning.
we went out on the boat so that the boys could get some slalom skiing in.  not the greatest picture of boy and uncle but representative of the day....sunny and chilled out kid.

look at that belly! (his not mine)
one smokin' husband.  i told him i wouldn't post this picture....i lied.  it was too good NOT to post! (the mocking will ensue for a few weeks)
and what would time with the brother be without some cutthroat board game playing?  our favorite?
this game is a favorite in our family.  brenner and chris tend to get a little too wrapped up into it, seeing as they are every so slightly competitive (sarcasm inserted here).  but i coped with their pressure with cookies and a hershey bar.
and here is a funny picture just because.  chris's favorite dog is chewy and chewy basically lets you do anything to him that you want.  i mean, look at him here.  pathetic.
it was good to see the brother.  florida is too far away.
