campbells down and out.

the past three weeks the campbell crew has been knocked down by sickness, each one of us in turn. first the little man, then brenner, then the girls, and then me. it has been a rough few weeks. it was a new experience having a sick newborn, since cole didn't even have a cold until he was 8 months old.
 it was not fun.

and now, just as we were all getting better, brenner left for 5 weeks of air force duty.
the good news is that the kids and i are going to be able to join him for the last week and a half this time.  that will make the time go by faster.
and i have a steady stream of family coming to help us here on the homefront while he is gone.
but it is still going to be hard.  it is just not the same without my other half.
not that 5 weeks is that long.  it just seems really long to a sleep deprived mother of  newborn twins.
okay, it seems like forever.
but then i remember my friend whose husband is on his 4th year-long deployment overseas.
and my sweet friend who lost her husband last year.
and it puts these few weeks in perspective.

hopefully i will get back on the blog regularly now that we are on the mend.
here are a couple shots of my girl clara.

contemplating the meaning of milk.
i have been carrying her around in the baby bjorn for the last hour.  she is comfy.
