pumpkin patch.

over the weekend, we visited a local pumpkin patch.  i love pumpkins.  i love pumpkin lattes.  i love pumpkin pie.  i love pumpkin bread.  and my favorite?   pumpkin pancakes.  i had some this morning.  and yesterday.  and i plan to basically eat them everyday throughout the fall.  
i digress. 
i wanted to get a pumpkin or two for decor (much to brenner's disapproval) and to get the mandatory kid-in-pumpkin-patch picture for this time of year.   here is the little guy with his pumpkin.

 cole likes to eat pumpkin too.  

 they had this hay display with scarecrows ad pumpkins on it designed to be the ideal spot to take pictures.  i thought it was cheesy but i gave in to the peer pressure.

 we quickly got down, however, when cole started pushing all of the pumpkins off the hay.  

 can you tell that he is teething???

 so i also had to take pictures of the wierdest pumpkins that i have ever seen. 

 this one was covered in little bumps.

 this one was gray.

 this one had huge warts.  

  i passed over these.  i prefer the pretty ones.
