C-ville

on our trip to virginia, one of the main purposes was to attend my brother's graduation from JAG school for the army.  it took place in charlottesville, one of my favorite little towns.  we didn't have time to go to monticello without the kids so we hung out on the lawn at uva for a couple of hours and went around campus.

cole tackling elise.....a very common occurrence.
cole snapped this picture of the rotunda on campus with my phone.  i love it!
graduation ceremony.
chris got tops marks and got perfect scores on physical fitness, including setting a new record on the 2 mile run test.  we are so proud of him!

this picture makes me laugh!  it was so sunny outside and i love chris and cole's expressions!
and this picture of chris and i might be one of my favorite pictures ever.
i am incredibly proud of the man that he has become and cannot wait to see all that the Lord is going to continue to do in his life!
on our way out of town we stopped by to see one of my oldest and dearest friends.  we have known each other since 5th grade!  we visited them in peru where they were missionaries almost 4 years ago, when i was pregnant with cole.
it was fun little trip!
well, other than all sleeping in the same hotel room, me walking clara up and down the hallway for 25 minutes getting her to fall asleep, and eating out at every meal which bascially means letting the kids eat whatever they want so we can look like a semi-civilized family and we actually get to eat some of our food.  for instance, for dinner one night cole ate a bag of cheetos, a yogurt and a milk.
yep.
we were thrilled to get to spend some time with chris before he left for his last 5 weeks of training because then he and leslie are off to hawaii!
