we had a neighborhood parade today in celebration of the 4th of july. this is the first time that we have been in waco for the 4th and therefore the first time that we participated in our parade. we had fun, despite the fact that it was hot and really muggy (ice cream and lemonade helped us feel better :) ). so the parade, unlike usual parades where you watch, was one that we were supposed to walk in (which we did not know about) and was fun. we have a very patriotic neighborhood and i definitely felt bad about forgetting to put out our american flag. maybe it will make it out by tomorrow.
these are some of our friends who also live in our neighborhood and go to our church who also have had kids in the last 8 months.

me and michelle saying cheese.
little man.
a highlight of the morning was reuniting with some long time family friends who have recently not only become wacoans, but have also become baylor bears. welcome baylor's new president and his wife ken and alice starr! it had been many years since i had seen the starrs and we had not had the chance to welcome them to waco so it was fun to see them.
thank you austin avenue neighborhood association for a great kick off to the 4th of july!
Hooray! So glad you are blogging...love all of the pics, Cole is just precious and getting so big. We need to get the boys together to play sometime! Happy 4th!!
